In a house I once knew, we all sat still.

The words were heavy, I didn’t want to hear.

The air was thick, the room was small

I sat there quiet, said nothing at all.

If I could return and stand up tall,

I’d tell that shadow within those walls,

You are enough be proud and strong,

Your heart remembers, right or wrong.

Now time have passed, the hurt turns bright,

With light and wishes by my side.

The soul I was still walks with me,

A voice of strength and memory.

With hope and wishes by my side,

A quiet voice I no longer hide.

In the quiet now, I finally know

I was the home I longed for long ago.
