Fees and Policies

Insurance

 

Southern California Institute of Psychology accepts both insurance and private pay for psychotherapy services. The insurance plans currently accepted at this time are:

  • Aetna

  • Cigna

  • Optum / UnitedHealthcare

 

If your insurance plan is not listed, you may still be able to use out-of-network benefits. A superbill can be provided upon request so you can submit it to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Coverage, copays/coinsurance, and deductibles vary by plan. Please contact your insurance provider directly to confirm your mental health benefits. If needed, we are happy to help you understand how your benefits may apply.

Private pay remains available for clients who prefer not to use insurance or whose plans are not accepted.

Payment

 

Payment is due at the time of each session. Currently accepted payment options are:

  • Cash

  • Check

  • All major credit cards

For clients using insurance, copays, coinsurance, and deductible amounts (if applicable) are collected at the time of service.​

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend a session, please cancel at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made less than 24 hoursbefore the session may incur a charge for the full session. Appointment reminders will also be sent, which allow you to cancel directly through the reminder. You can also cancel via the secure client portal or by sending a secure message.

Fees

 

​​Payment is due at the time of each session. Private Pay is accepted for services, and additional details regarding fees can be provided upon request.

Sliding Scale Available: If you’re facing financial challenges, sliding scale options may be available. Please reach out to discuss your needs and determine a rate that works for you.
